You usually don't need a QR code to install your GigSky eSIM. The easiest option is to use the Install eSIM button for your plan in the GigSky app.
If you prefer to use a QR code and only have one device, you can scan the QR code from a saved image on supported devices.
Recommended: Install from the GigSky app
To install your eSIM without using a QR code:
Open the GigSky app and tap My Plans.
Find your new plan and tap Install eSIM.
Select Install on this device.
Tap Install Now and follow the on-screen instructions.
Want to use a QR code?
If you need to use a QR code:
Open the GigSky app and go to My Plans.
Find your new plan and tap Install eSIM.
Select an option under Different Device.
Tap Install Now.
You'll see the installation instructions, including the QR code and manual installation options.
Normally, you would display the QR code on another device or print it out and scan it with your phone. If you only have one device, some devices let you scan a QR code directly from an image saved to your camera roll.
iPhone (iOS 17.4 or later)
iPhones running iOS 17.4 or later can scan a QR code from an image saved on your device.
Open the email containing your GigSky QR code.
Take a screenshot of the QR code and save it to Photos.
Open the Camera app — not the Photos app.
Tap the Photo Library icon in the bottom-left corner.
Select the image containing the QR code.
Touch and hold the QR code in the image.
Tap Add eSIM and follow the on-screen instructions.
Android
The steps for scanning a QR code from a saved image vary by Android device. Some devices have this feature built in, while others may not support it.
Samsung Galaxy
Take a screenshot of your GigSky QR code by pressing the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager.
Tap Add SIM.
Tap Set up an eSIM.
Select Other ways to connect to a mobile network.
Tap Scan QR code.
Tap the Gallery icon and select the image containing your QR code.
Tap Done and Add, then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install your eSIM.
Google Pixel
Take a screenshot of your GigSky QR code by pressing the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
Tap Add SIM.
Tap Set up an eSIM.
Select Use a different network.
Tap Scan from photo and select the image containing your QR code.
Tap Set up and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install your eSIM.
