Your GigSky Cruise + Land plan is designed to keep you connected both at sea and on land.
With a single GigSky eSIM, your device automatically connects to the most appropriate supported network as you travel. There's no need to switch eSIMs or change your mobile data settings.
While you're at sea
Once your ship is sufficiently offshore, your GigSky eSIM connects to the ship's supported maritime network.
For most cruises, this happens after the ship has left port and is approximately 12 nautical miles from shore.
As your ship approaches port
As your ship returns to shore, your device may disconnect from the ship's maritime network and begin searching for a supported local mobile network.
It's normal to experience a brief interruption while your device switches between networks.
While you're on land
When you're in a destination covered by your Cruise + Land plan, your GigSky eSIM automatically connects to a supported local mobile network.
You don't need to:
Switch eSIM profiles
Change your mobile data line
Purchase another plan for covered destinations
Simply leave your GigSky eSIM turned on and your device will connect whenever supported coverage is available.
Good to know
Keep your GigSky eSIM turned on throughout your trip.
Make sure Data Roaming is enabled for your GigSky eSIM.
Network switching happens automatically when supported coverage is available.
Connection times may vary depending on your location and network availability.
If your device doesn't switch networks
If your device doesn't automatically connect after arriving at your destination:
Turn Airplane Mode on, then off.
Restart your device.
Confirm that GigSky is selected as your mobile data line.
Check that your destination is included in your Cruise + Land plan.
